- These works will be carried out on behalf of the temporary consortium made up by Isolux Corsan, Acsa and UCOP, with the developer of the works being the University of Granada.
- The building will include three sections that are very similar to each other, which in turn are made up of a horizontal two-storey unit plus a semi-basement for the use of teachers and other general uses, and a nine-storey tower for the various departments. The three segments are connected to each other by means of walkways.
Description of the water and sewage system
The water and sewage system for the building shall involve the collection of rain and sewage water through a combined system.
The system will basically consist of individual drains for devices and elements or systems requiring evacuation, drainpipes and vertical and horizontal collectors for general evacuation.

Cold water will be supplied by 2 independent mains:
- Cold water through fluxometers (WCs and dumps) (AFX)
- Sanitary cold water for the remaining devices (AF)
Two (2) pressure groups will be installed in order to feed the entire building. One of them will be used for the cold water mains (AFS) and the other for the fluxometer network (AFX). The pressure groups shall include vertical multicellular centrifugal pumps and a deposit with a diaphragm pressure regulator.
Description of the thermal solar power system
A water collection and accumulation system is used which employs individual inter-accumulators in the various laboratories and changing rooms.
The calorific power absorbed by the water collection system is transferred by means of pumps and a primary circuit of pipes to an external plate heat exchanger. Another circuit takes the power to the solar accumulators for sanitary hot water. All the process is regulated by a regulation system.
