The transaction, completed together with Banco de Bogot\u00e1, further strengthens the Group\u2019s presence in Colombia as the country accelerates its energy transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The portfolio has a combined installed capacity of <strong>39 MWp<\/strong> and covers approximately <strong>50 hectares<\/strong>. It represents Negrat\u00edn Group\u2019s second financing transaction in the Colombian market. In addition, the Group has led the investment structuring and will be responsible for the construction and operation of the projects, reflecting its vertically integrated model across <strong>development, investment structuring, construction and renewable asset operations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Financial structure and growth strategy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Financing for the portfolio has been structured with the support of <strong>Banco de Bogot\u00e1<\/strong> through a <strong>non-recourse project finance structure<\/strong>, backed by a <strong>15-year PPA<\/strong>. This widely established financing model ring-fences financial risk at project level and reflects the technical and economic strength of the portfolio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As with the Alma project, the transaction also includes the participation of <strong>Findeter, Colombia\u2019s Territorial Development Bank<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe 39 MW of capacity across this portfolio and the nearly 300 jobs it will create in Meta demonstrate what the energy transition means for Colombia\u2019s regions today: clean energy generation, diversification of the energy mix and local economic development, supported by a financial structure designed for the long term,\u201d said <strong>Luz Ang\u00e9lica Rubiano, Director of Structured Finance at Banco de Bogot\u00e1<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Growing presence in Colombia<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since entering Colombia in <strong>2020<\/strong>, Negrat\u00edn Group has developed an in-depth understanding of the country\u2019s energy market, enabling the company to build a model tailored to local requirements. Negrat\u00edn began operating in the country at an early stage in the development of renewable energy and has grown alongside the transformation of Colombia\u2019s energy mix towards <strong>non-conventional renewable energy sources<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Building on the experience gained with <strong>Alma 2<\/strong>, this second financial close demonstrates the ability of Banco de Bogot\u00e1 and Negrat\u00edn Group to replicate efficient financing structures in the Colombian market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a result of this track record, <strong>Negrat\u00edn has participated as a construction partner in approximately 20% of the projects developed in the Colombian market<\/strong> and is working towards having <strong>300 MWp in operation in the country by 2030<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Eduardo Barros, Investments Managing Director at Negrat\u00edn Group<\/strong>, said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cReaching financial close on the Meta portfolio marks an important milestone in our strategy in Colombia.
